Survey Results: Sandiaga Uno Potential Vice President Candidate, Becomes A Figure Who Is Considered To Represent Young People

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has become a potential vice presidential candidate who to this day has not been defeated by anyone.

In a recent survey, the Politics Research & Consulting Institute with Indonesian Political Parameters, Sandiaga was still in first position with 16.7 percent gain. Followed by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo with 12.4 percent, and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto with 10.5 percent.

"In various survey institutions, Sandi has a strong trend as a vice presidential candidate," said Rio Prayogo, Executive Director of Politica Research & Consulting in the Release of the National Political Outlook Survey: Observing the Axis of the Party Coalition online, Monday, December 27.

"Meanwhile, others have to learn from Ganjar how to make his acquaintances effective into good electability," he continued.

Of the 17 names for the vice presidential candidates, the three figures are the ones that the people choose the most if the general election is held today.

While the fourth position is filled by Anies Baswedan 9.3 percent, fifth Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono 5.0 percent, sixth Ridwan Kamil 4.9 percent, seventh Basuki Tjahaja Purnama 3.3 percent, eighth Abdul Somad 3.0 percent.

The ninth Tri Rismaharini 2.5 percent, the tenth Khofifah Indar Parawansa 2.3 percent, the eleventh Puan Maharani 2.2 percent, the twelfth Jusuf Kalla 1.6 percent, the thirteenth Gatot Nurmantyo 1.6 percent, the fourteenth Susi Pudjiastuti 1.3 percent, the fifteenth Harry Tanoesodibjo 1.1 percent, Mahfud MD 1.1 percent and Erick Tohir 0.8 percent.

"We also asked who is the most identical to young people or millennials or millennials. It is illustrated that there is 21.6 percent of Sandiaga Uno. 15.3 percent of reward, 13.8 percent of Prabowo," said Rio.

This survey was conducted on 12 November - 4 December 2021. By involving 1,600 respondents in 34 provinces. The criteria for respondents are at least 17 years old or already married.
