Simeone Says About Atletico's Consecutive La Liga Defeats: With Composure And Balance, Los Colchoneros Will Rise

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone believes his team will soon return to winning ways after a series of poor results in the Spanish League in recent matches.

As quoted by Antara from Football Espana, Thursday, Simeone said Atletico Madrid would again add strength, and so far they have done well.

Through composure and balance, the Argentine believes he will move forward and return to winning ways having previously lost their last four La Liga matches.

"Then, with composure, we need to rearm ourselves. This team has done a lot of good things. With composure and balance, we will move forward," said Simeone.

He said that currently, Atletico Madrid has not been able to find the wins they deserve and sometimes they get the wins they don't deserve, but that is normal in football.

According to him, currently, Atletico Madrid must remain calm and work hard and wait for the recovery of some of their defenders who are still injured.

"We didn't find the wins we deserved, but that's football. Sometimes we won without deserving it, and now we lost the games we deserved to win," said Simeone.

"But we have to clear our heads. Keep calm. Keep working. Wait for our center-back to recover, who we really miss."

Atlético Madrid is currently in fifth place in the La Liga standings with 29 points from the 18 matches they have played, and 17 points adrift of Real Madrid who is at the top.

The distance from the top of the table will certainly hinder Atletico Madrid's steps to defend the Spanish League title they won last season.

Atletico Madrid have lost four consecutive games in December in La Liga after losing 1-2 to Mallorca, 0-2 to Real Madrid, 1-2 to Sevilla and 1-2 to Granada.
