Entertainment Journalists And Musicians Help Victims Of The Eruption Of Mount Semeru

JAKARTA - Donations from the fundraising event entitled "Musicians Gather, Pray and Move to Support the Semeru Eruption" from various music companies, non-music companies and individuals have officially been distributed to our brothers and sisters affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru.

The volunteer team of Jakarta Movement for Semeru Journalists from PWI Jaya Sie Music Film and Lifestyle as well as from the KOPHI community on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, have delivered donations in several places, including at BPBD Lumajang, Command Post Officers and Posko Desa Jarit Candipuro.

In his remarks, the Head of the East Java BPBD, Dadang, thanked the donors and journalists who have actively participated in alleviating the burden of the victims of the eruption of Mount Semeru.

"We thank all of you for your participation, hopefully what is donated is useful for the victims, especially those who are still in evacuation," explained Dadang, at the Semeru Cares Moving Journalists Post in the Hamlet of Kupang, Surabaya on Monday, December 20.

Furthermore, Dadang provided an overview of the current conditions at the location affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. "The latest data shows that now there are more than 10,400 refugees spread over 409 location points and damage has been recorded in more than 1000 residents' houses. According to him, this disaster management cannot be done by the government alone, but we will do it together," added Dadang.

After conducting the ceremony with the Head of the East Java BPBD, the team of journalists immediately headed to the Lumajang City BPBD post. There the Jakarta Bergerak Journalists team again handed over assistance. After handing over the aid to the Lumajang City BPBD, the group of Jakarta journalists moved directly to the disaster site in Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, to hand over aid to the Officers Command Post which was then distributed to the public directly.
