Sriwijaya FC Receives The Results Of The Draw For League 2 Group Preliminaries, PSMS Is Not Afraid
JAKARTA - PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) has completed the draw for determining the host and group division for League 2, Wednesday, August 19. Based on the results of the draw, a number of favorite clubs have to compete since the initial round.
Sriwijaya FC and PSMS Medan for example. Both of them have to enter the "hellish group", namely Group D. Apart from the two clubs from Sumatra, this group is also inhabited by League 1 club graduates, Semen Padang and Persijap Jepara. Then there are two dark horse stakes, namely North Sulawesi United and Persekat.
The result of the draw is inevitably accepted by Sriwijaya FC management. The club nicknamed Laskar Wong Kito must make more careful preparations if they want to qualify for the next round.
"Actually all clubs are tough, there are indeed our competitors who are quite tough, such as PSMS Medan and Semen Padang. However, we will prepare better and concentrate on the competition," said Secretary of PT Sriwijaya Optimis Mandiri (SOM), Faisyal Mursyid, after seeing lottery results.
Meanwhile, PSMS Medan player, Syaiful Ramadhan, admitted that he was not afraid even though his team was in the hell group. The status of the host certainly gives Laskar Ayam Kinantan an advantage to win tickets to the next round.
"It doesn't matter against anyone, we face it, we are ready. We train the fastest, we are ready to face opponents in Group D," he said.
