COVID-19 Update As Of December 22: 179 New Cases, Healing Increases By 251
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 298,922 specimens were examined with the result that there were 179 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,261,072 people and active cases are 4,746", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, December 22.
Today's recovered cases increased by 252 cases, bringing the total to 4,112,292 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 10 people and the total was 144,034 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 41 cases and a total of 864,780 cases. Followed by the Riau Islands with 29 new cases with a total of 54,014 cases. West Java has 19 new cases and a total of 708,684 cases. Then, Central Java with 17 new cases and a total of 486,802 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 63 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 26 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 21 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 17 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 61,083,259.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,231 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 153,503,685 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 108,540,055 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,276,406. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
