Hide Methamphetamine In Shoes, Mataram Residents Arrested At Lombok Airport
MATARAM - The Anti-Narcotics Agency Team of West Nusa Tenggara province thwarted the smuggling of 230 grams or 2.3 ounces of crystal methamphetamine with the mode of storing evidence in shoes.
The head of the NTB National Narcotics Agency, Brigadier General Gagas Nugraha, said the perpetrator who carried out the smuggling mode had the initials HA (39), a man from Gebang, Mataram City, who lives in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
"The perpetrator's actions were revealed when they arrived at Lombok Airport (Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport), Monday, December 20 yesterday", said Gagas, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 22.
The perpetrators carried out the mode of smuggling methamphetamine in the shoes using the Medan-Jakarta-Lombok airline.
His arrest was successful thanks to the support of airport security and BIZAM Port Health Office (KKP) officers.
Evidence was found from the results of a search of the body and luggage which was also witnessed by the airport security and KKP.
"Evidence of methamphetamine was found in three pockets which were kept in the shoes used by the perpetrators", he said.

From the interrogation, HA admitted that the illicit goods were ordered by someone in Lombok.
Although his role was only as a courier, in this case, HA controlled 2.3 ounces of crystal methamphetamine. He was named a suspect under the suspicion of Article 112 Paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35/2009 concerning Narcotics.
