Bandung Kejari Detains Ex-Chairman Of West Java Chamber Of Commerce For Corruption Grants

BANDUNG - The Bandung District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has detained the former chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Tatan Pria Sudjana (TPS) who is suspected of being involved in a corruption case of grant funds from the West Java Provincial Government.

Head of Special Crimes Section of the Bandung Attorney General's Office, Taufik Effendy, said that Tatan's detention was carried out based on considerations after an examination was carried out. His party has delegated the second stage of the investigation from the investigator to the public prosecutor.

"Furthermore, the public prosecutor is of the opinion that we detained the TPS suspect for 20 days," said Taufik at the Bandung City Kejari, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 20.

Taufik said Tatan was being held at the Bandung detention center on Jalan Jakarta. Tatan's status has been designated as a suspect since some time ago.

According to Taufik, the Bandung Kejari Investigator will continue to investigate and develop the corruption case of the provincial grant fund.

"Currently we are still developing the investigation by naming one suspect on behalf of the AY concerned who is still under investigation," he said.

The Bandung District Attorney's Office is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the West Java Provincial Government grant funds to the West Java Kadin in the 2019 fiscal year.

In investigating the corruption of the grant fund of around Rp. 1.7 billion, a number of West Java Kadin officials were also investigated by the Prosecutor's Office.
