Bank Mandiri Tops List Of Mandated Lead Arrangers And Bookrunners For Syndicated Loans 2021
JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk is said to have managed to occupy the top position on the list of Bloomberg League Table Reports Indonesia Borrower Loans 2021 for the Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA) and Bookrunner categories.
Based on Bloomberg data on December 13, 2021, the state-owned bank was listed as the best MLA through its success in managing syndicated loans with the largest total value, which was US$3.66 billion from 32 transactions or equivalent to 20.93 percent market share.
In the Bookrunner category, Bank Mandiri also became the best after successfully managing syndicated loans with the highest total value of USD 1.8 billion from 17 transactions or equivalent to 17.89 percent market share.
"This syndicated loan transaction, which is managed by Bank Mandiri as a Mandated Lead Arranger or Bookrunner, does not only involve local financial institutions, but also international financial institutions," said Bank Mandiri SVP Corporate Solution Group Erwanza Nirwan in an official statement quoted Monday, December 20.
According to him, the company will focus on several sectors that show an improvement trend, including transportation, infrastructure, telecommunications, and energy.

"This achievement indicates that the business world and local and international financial institutions have continued to trust Bank Mandiri to be involved in syndicated credit transactions," Erwanza continued.
For information, the bank with the issuer code of BMRI reported that until November 2021 the total syndicated loans involving Bank Mandiri had reached IDR 157.01 trillion. Meanwhile, from this total value, BMRI received a syndicated financing portion of IDR 60.48 trillion.
“This proves that Bank Mandiri is trusted as a bank that is able to meet the financial needs of corporate debtors. We hope that this can be a catalyst for accelerating the recovery of the national economy," concluded Erwanza Nirwan.
