Police Called Manager, Embassy Club And Rabbithole Senayan City Closed
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya summoned the managers of two night entertainment venues that violated health protocols (prokes), namely the Embassy Club in SCBD and the karaoke place Rabbithole Senayan City, South Jakarta, Saturday, December 18.
"The Embassy has been summoned. What's even worse is Rabbithole because it is still operating until two in the morning. So we will call the manager," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan when confirmed in Jakarta, Sunday, December 19.
Zulpan said the two parties were summoned for violating the operating hours of the nightclubs.
Not only that, he continued, the Embassy club was also proven guilty because the local security officers had obstructed the police during the health promotion raid.
Zulpan said his officers were prevented from entering the club because visitors were still active in the area.
As a result, the security officer was brought to the Polda Metro Jaya for inspection.
Because of the violation, he stressed, the police temporarily closed the two nightclubs.
"Officers have installed a police line at the location. It has been closed," he added.
Zulpan ensured that his party would continue to raid nightclubs.
He hopes that this raid activity can discipline the night entertainment business actors to comply with the prokes provisions.
"We hope that there is awareness from business actors and the public to remain obedient to the prokes to avoid COVID-19," he said.
