JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra Party faction, Mulan Jameela, was summoned by the Supervisory and Disciplinary Body of the Gerindra Party as a result of the polemic of self-quarantine following a working visit to Turkey.
Secretary of BPD Gerindra Mulyadi, said this summons was a follow-up to reports regarding Mulan Jameela violating quarantine rules. It was rumored that Mulan had walked around Pondok Indah Mall even though the quarantine time had not even been 10 days.
"In connection with the rise of news in the community, through online media and other social media networks, regarding a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives on behalf of Mrs. Mulan Jameela who recently returned to carry out an official trip as a state official to Turkey and she is considered to have carried out activities at a time when she should still be in the period. quarantine, for that matter, We, the Gerindra Party DPP, in this case the Gerindra Party's Supervisory and Disciplinary Body (BPD) will immediately follow up by summoning Mrs. Mulan Jameela," said Mulyadi to reporters, Friday, December 17.
The summons, said Mulyadi, was to ask for clarification and other information regarding information that was widely circulated in the community.
"This is in the context of enforcing cadre discipline and supporting government programs in efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic," explained Mulyadi.
Mulyadi added that the Gerindra Party BPD followed and carried out the best efforts carried out by the COVID-19 Task Force. This includes complying with the COVID-19 Task Force Circular Number 23 of 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocols during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
One of the rules is the provision of a 10-day quarantine for international travelers.
"We hope that the efforts of the Gerindra Party's Supervisory and Disciplinary Body will soon obtain complete and clear information through the summoning of Mrs. Mulan Jameela so that we can immediately provide information to the public including the consequences," said Mulyadi.
