LPEI Helps Expand UKM Food And Beverage Market Access To Singapore And Malaysia
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank cooperates with the Surabaya Export Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade to open market access for the food and beverage business sector (mamin) made in Indonesia in Singapore and Malaysia. Exploration of access expansion in the form of business matching is carried out through the Business Indonesia Singapore Association (BISA), which is a distributor of Indonesian food and beverage products to Singapore, as well as buyers from Malaysia.
On this occasion, buyers from Singapore and Malaysia were accompanied by Trade Attaches from Singapore and Malaysia. The business matching, which was held online, involved 21 business actors in the food and beverage sector from various provinces who were also foster partners of the Coaching Program for New Exporters (CPNE program) from 2016 to 2021.
The Head of the LPEI Consulting Services Division, R. Gerald Setiawan Grisanto, said that by doing this business matching, it is hoped that business actors will get new market access opportunities.

LPEI has a series of integrated programs to help overcome the obstacles and obstacles faced by export-oriented SME actors from both financial and non-financial aspects, known as the Consulting Services Program.
"We provide training through the CPNE Program for export-oriented SMEs or those who have not exported independently, seek market opportunities in the digital era through the Marketing Handholding Program, and mentoring groups/clusters that have the potential to carry out production activities of superior commodities in a sustainable manner with the aim of increasing capacity of local communities and development of village superior commodities through the Foreign Exchange Village Program. Gerald further explained that the LPEI/Indonesia Eximbank fostered partners who are considered to be ready or bankable can be given financing while still paying attention to the financing aspects carefully and thoroughly.
