Kulon Progo Alerts Cakruk Wisata As Command Post To Anticipate The Spread Of COVID-19
KULON PROGO - The Kulon Progo Regency Tourism Office, Special Region of Yogyakarta, has prepared special tourist cranes to become posts in 40 tourist objects spread across the region anticipating the spread of COVID-19 and traffic jams at tourist attractions.
Head of the Kulon Progo Tourism Office (Dispar), Joko Mursito, said that Dispar had completed 40 special tours connected with handy talky communication tools sourced from privileged funds.
"This special tourist center can be used as command posts, so we have coordinated it with all tourist destinations. We will prepare the command posts in all tourist attractions, totaling 40 points by utilizing special tourist spots," Joko said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 16.
Dispar has conducted training to members of special tourism cakruk anticipating sub-district traffic in tourist attractions, if one tourist attraction occurs, tourists can be shifted to another tourist attraction. So that tourist objects that have the potential to accumulate tourists such as Glagah Beach, Sermo Reservoir and Nglinggo can be overcome.
"We hope there will be special attention in Nglinggo because there is a Tumpeng Menoreh from the Transportation Service, because on normal days there is also a buildup of tourists. Of course, during the Christmas and New Year holidays, the potential for accumulation of tourist vehicles is even higher," he said.
Joko Mursito said his party was coordinating intensively with tourism actors and culinary tourism business services. For the PeduliLindung application, 75 percent of tourist attractions in Kulon Progo are already installed. The rest are still waiting for the QR Code PeduliLindung from the Ministry of Health.
"We expect the Health Office to help us so that tourist objects that have not been given a QR Code of Care to Protect are immediately issued from the Ministry of Health. This is because it is a condition for the operation of tourist objects and tourism business services," he said.
Joko said that the spirit of tourism is extraordinary in welcoming the 2021 Christmas Holidays and the 2022 New Year. Tourists have even prepared rain handlers so that the Christmas and New Year 2022 holidays are in sunny conditions, with the hope that the number of visitors will be very high.
"It means they are very excited to get a lot of rupiah to boost their economy," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman I of the Kulon Progo DPRD, Ponimin Budi Hartono, asked the Dispar and the Transportation Service to check the tourist vehicles used by tourism actors to take them to tourist objects, such as in Sermo, Pengasih, Nglinggo and others.
"This is to ensure the safety of safe vehicles for tourists who ride them. Do not let the Kulon Progo tourist attraction be tarnished because of negligence of not paying attention to the vehicles that are rented to tourists," he said.
