Undressed Woman Killer In Belitong Hotel Arrested, Threatened With 15 Years In Prison

TANJUNG PANDAN - Belitung Resort Police, Bangka Belitung Islands Police arrested IS (25), the perpetrator of the murder of a woman with the initials GAP (28) in a hotel room on Jalan Sriwijaya, Tanjung Pandan, Monday, December 13.

"We managed to apprehend the IS perpetrator (25) last night at 19.30 WIB at his house," said Belitung Police Chief AKBP Tris Lesmana Zeviansyah represented by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Belitung Police Iptu Edi Purwanto, in Tanjung Pandan, Wednesday, December 15.

According to him, IS (25) is strongly suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of GAP (28), a woman from West Bangka who was staying in room number 08 of the Belitong Hotel, Jalan Sriwijaya, Tanjung Pandan.

He said, based on the testimony of witnesses, CCTV footage or surveillance cameras and the results of the crime scene (TKP), the police managed to pocket the identity of the person who is strongly suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder and immediately gave chase.

The perpetrator was arrested at his residence, which is located at Jalan ZA Pagar Alam, Tanjung Pendan Village, Tuesday, December 14.

The police were forced to take decisive action against the perpetrators because they tried to run away when they were asked to show evidence of their crimes by officers.

"We are currently investigating the motive for the perpetrator's action," he said. He added that the perpetrator was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison term of 15 years.

Previously, last Monday, December 13, the people of Tanjung Pandan were shocked by the discovery of the body of a naked woman in Belitong Hotel room number 08, and many wounds were found due to the impact of blunt objects on the victim's body as well as bloodstains on the mattress and floor of the hotel room.
