Avoid The Fire, Two People Fall From The 2nd Floor Of A Burning Shophouse At Kemis Market
JAKARTA - A permanent shop house (ruko) fire on Jalan Raya Pasar Kemis, Sukamantri Village, Cilongok, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, early Wednesday morning resulted in two shophouse occupants being seriously injured.
"There is currently information that two people were seriously injured, because they jumped from the second floor of the shop to save themselves. The owner's data or names are not yet known," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Tangerang Regency BPBD, Abdul Munir in Tangerang, Wednesday, December 15.
He revealed, as a result of the incident, the total number of shop houses that were burned increased to 7 shop houses. Among them are cat food shop, kueh shop, toy shop, photocopy shop, klontong shop, clothes shop and basic food shop.
"The loss due to the burning of this shophouse is estimated at around Rp. 500 million. Then, the cause of the fire is not yet known," he said.
Previously, at around 01:53 WIB, the Tangerang Regency fire department received a report related to a fire in three shop houses (ruko) on Jalan Raya Pasar Kemis, Sukamantri Village, Cilongok, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency.
Then, his party immediately dispatched five units of fire engines with 25 personnel to the location of the fire.
"The units (the fire truck) that were launched, one unit of Mako Curug, one post of Pasar Kemis, one post of Sepatan, one post of Mauk and one unit of UPT Periuk, Tangerang City, said Abdul Munir.
