JAKARTA - PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL/Mitratel) has more than 28,000 telecommunication towers and 57 percent of them are located outside Java. Apart from that, Mitratel has also contributed to the blankspot Base Transceiver Station (BTS) construction program in Remote, Outermost, and Disadvantaged Areas (3T). Through the BTS 3T program, Mitratel reaches all corners of the country by building hundreds of telecommunication towers and dozens of backbone transmission towers.
According to Noorhayati Candrasuci, Business Director of Mitratel, the construction of BTS in the 3T blankspot area is an effort to distribute telecommunication services equally to all levels of society in collaboration with BAKTI. The BTS lastmile blankspot BAKTI program is implemented based on the Minister of Communication and Informatics Regulation number 25 of 2015 concerning the Implementation of the Universal Telecommunication and Informatics Service Obligation.
