Bogor Regency Government Welcomes Ridwan Kamil's Plan To Renovate Sentul Circuit, Which Will Be Named West Java Sentul International Circuit
JAKARTA - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java welcomes the plan of the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil to renovate the Sentul Circuit, Bogor in 2022.
"We are very supportive, especially this year we are reorganizing the face of the district capital in Cibinong Raya," said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin in Cibinong, Bogor, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, December 15.
According to him, the revitalization and redesign plan will generate economic potential from the sports and tourism sectors. The reason is, Bogor Regency now has the tagline Sport and Tourism.
Ade Yasin said that the circuit with a track length of 4.12 kilometers was physically good, but based on the information he received from the Sentul Circuit management, there needed to be some improvements in redesigning the circuit to become a MotoGP racing venue in 1996.
Meanwhile, a member of the Bogor Regency Development Acceleration Team, Gus Udin, said that the planned redesign of the Sentul Circuit was in line with the arrangement of the face of the Bogor Regency capital that was carried out by the Bogor Regency Government starting from the Sentul intersection to the Pakansari Stadium area.
The arrangement of Sentul Simpang is part of the Cibinong Raya Area structuring program called the "City Beautification Project".
"Currently, the arrangement of Jalan Kandang Roda is in the construction stage and other infrastructure developments are in the process of preparation," said the man whose real name is Saepudin Muhtar.
The arrangement of Cibinong Raya as the capital city of Bogor Regency was carried out starting from the Sentul intersection to Jalan Raya Tegar Beliman. In fact, the arrangement will continue to the border between Bogor Regency and Depok City.
Previously, the Governor of West Java (Jabar) M Ridwan Kamil said the Sentul Circuit in Bogor Regency would be redesigned in 2022.
The circuit, which was once the venue for MotoGP racing in 1996, will later become one of the best circuits in the world under the name West Java Sentul International Circuit.

Emil, as Ridwan Kamil is called, hopes that the West Java Sentul International Circuit can again hold an international event. That way, tourism, and the community's economy can increase.
"Later on, we can hold international level events, and it is hoped that tourism and the people's economy here will increase," said Emil.
He also asked for support from all parties so that in the future the West Java Sentul International Circuit can become the pride of Indonesia, such as the Lombok Mandalika Circuit.
"If West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has the Mandalika Circuit, then West Java has the West Java Sentul International Circuit, we ask for support from all parties," said Emil.
