COVID-19 Task Force Affirms Indonesian Officials Allowed For Independent Quarantine Only Echelon I And Above
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, explained who were allowed to self-quarantine at home after traveling from abroad.
Among Indonesian citizens, self-quarantine is given to officials with upper echelon Ike status. This discretion can be given to the official with official considerations.
"It should be emphasized that those who are allowed to quarantine in independent facilities are Indonesian officials at echelon I level and above who have just completed official duties and this description applies individually," Wiku said in a virtual press conference, Tuesday, December 14.
Wiku said officials from echelon I and above who wish to self-quarantine must still submit an application at least three days before arrival in Indonesia. This application was submitted to the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.
In addition, quarantined officials must also undergo a second PCR test or exit test on the ninth day of quarantine.
Wiku explained, self-quarantine facilities are facilities outside the government's reference or private ownership or certain agencies that have met the standards.
"These standards include having a separate bedroom and bathroom for each individual international traveler, ensuring that quarantine procedures continue to run according to procedures," he said.
Wiku emphasized that those who are allowed to quarantine in independent facilities are Indonesian officials at echelon I level and above who have just completed official duties and this description applies individually.
"It is requested that anyone who submits a description and cannot fulfill the intended requirements to quarantine in a centralized facility that has been provided by the government," he concluded.
