VIDEO: Government Asks Not To Go Overseas For Holidays

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, asked the public to postpone their vacation abroad unless they have urgent interests. Don't come back from abroad and bring the virus to Indonesia.

Now the world is again worried about the spread of a new variant of Omicron. Many experts agree that the Omicron is no more dangerous than the Delta variant. However, the transmission power of this new type of corona is very strong.

"Don't bring disease into the country. We don't want Omicron to be brought in later by those who go on vacation abroad. We recommend taking a vacation in the country, we'll hold it in until things get better", said Luhut.
