Spokesperson Says Use Of Care Protect In Public Places Declines
JAKARTA - Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19 Reisa Broto Asmoro asked managers of shopping center buildings, hotels, or tourist attractions to be disciplined in applying check-in on the PeduliLindung application as an effort to prevent COVID-19 transmission in the community, especially during the Christmas and New Year holidays. .
Reisa said that currently there is a decline in the use of the PeduliLindung application in public places.
"Everyone who organizes it, namely the operation at the shopping center, must implement PeduliLindungi. Yesterday it was reported that from last week until now, the use of the PeduliLindung application has decreased," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, December 13.
Strict implementation of PeduliLindung in public places is important given the government regulations regarding the Christmas and New Year holidays which only allow people with the green category, or people who have received two complete doses of the COVID-19 vaccination to visit public places.
Screening of people who have been vaccinated with two complete doses can only be validated using the PeuduliLindung application.
In addition, the government also regulates that operations in shopping centers, restaurants, cinemas, and tourist attractions are only permitted with a maximum capacity of 75 percent during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
"The government has implemented a ban on all types of New Year celebrations, whether in hotels, shopping centers, malls, tourist attractions, and other public crowded places," said Reisa.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, which has the potential to trigger a third wave, the government has also banned new year celebrations, both indoors and outdoors.
