Mayor Andi Harun Distributes 1,000 Land Certificates, Bans Samarinda Residents From Selling To Buy TV Or Motorcycles
JAKARTA - The Government of Samarinda City, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) distributed a thousand land certificates from a program initiated by the Ministry of ATR/BPN, namely the Complete Systematic Land Registration Acceleration (PTSL) program.
Through the program, there are 3,800 land certificates for the people of Samarinda City which will be handed over in stages to the owners.
"The government guarantees legal certainty or rights to land owned by the community and makes it easy to manage it. We are currently distributing a thousand certificates to the people of Samarinda City," said Samarinda Mayor Andi Harun in Samarinda, Antara, Monday, December 13.
Andi Harun advised that this land certificate can be used by the community productively by the community as business collateral and other positive interests.
"I hope the people who receive it can keep this certificate as good as possible. When they get home, they will have a photocopy or scan it or save a photocopy of the file. Because if the original is lost, the photocopy or the file is still there," said Andi Harun.
Andi Harun reminded residents who intend to use their certificates as collateral for their business to choose the best bank.
"It must be calculated carefully, if you are unable to fulfill your obligation to pay, I suggest you don't be forced to borrow money," said Andi Harun.
He also advised that this land certificate should not be used for the residents' consumptive needs, such as buying goods or necessities that are not too important. "Hopefully the mother and father's business will run smoothly. And fortunately (not) they can buy TVs, motorbikes and other consumptive needs," he added.
Not only related to the benefits conveyed, the number one person in Samarinda City emphasized that by giving certificates to residents, legal certainty is expected to be a bulwark against land mafia practices in Samarinda.
"I don't want land owned by the community to be controlled by the land mafia. And they are small people sometimes can't deal with thugs, they are intimidated, with this legal evidence they can survive the actions of the land mafia," he said.
It is known that the number of recipients of land ownership certificates in Samarinda City is 3,800 certificates with 599 certificates distributed in Sempaja Selatan Village, North Sempaja Village 1,500 certificates, Sempaja Timur Village 760 certificates and Sungai Kapih Village 941 certificates.
