12 Years Of Married, Dea Ananda Reveals Her Struggle With IVF
JAKARTA - Dea Ananda and Ariel Nidji announced their happiness as prospective parents after going through a long process of getting pregnant through the IVF process or IVF on December 12, 2021. The beautiful date of 1212 seemed to fit the waiting for a celebrity couple who married 12 years ago on August 9, 2009.
In fact, they have been in the IVF program since 2018. At that time, both of them said that they had serious feelings about having children.
"Because before, it just flowed and in 2018 there is a process that we haven't tried. And the things that we haven't tried yet is that we actually check with the doctor for a pregnancy program. The first doctor we tried was at the end of December 2018. But at that time it made us feel down, maybe because the doctor at that time didn't explain it to us properly," said Dea, quoted from ANTARA, December 13.
Dea explained that they also had time to move to another doctor, following a series of processes but to no avail. The doctor at that time offered insemination, but the couple decided to rest first. After a year of taking a break from the pregnancy program, Dea and Ariel underwent another pregnancy program.
Dea Ananda was accompanied by dr. Cynthia Agnes, BMedSc, Sp.OG and Ariel accompanied by dr. Tiara Kirana Sp.And in conducting a pregnancy program at the Indonesian Child Fertility Center (PFBI).
Doctor Cynthia explained that the conditions experienced by Dea during the examination were PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome, hydrosalphing, and endometriosis. The first step is HDLO. The tubal and endometrial lesions were removed, three months later, IVF was performed.
"It took 3 months of preparation before IVF, and it took 9 months before finally being able to transfer embryos. Preparations for embryo transfer were postponed four times because the uterine wall was always not ready," said the doctor.
After the frozen embryo transfer preparation process was canceled four times, finally the process went smoothly and the test pack showed positive results.
Dea and Ariel convey a message to the two-line warriors who are undergoing a pregnancy program to always be enthusiastic and continue to believe that there will be a way.
"If you want to take a break in the pregnancy program, you may stop for a break. Take advantage of the time together because everyone has different phases. The important thing is to enjoy the process," said Dea Ananda.
