National Police Chief Sigit: Novel Baswedan Et Al's Experience Strengthens Corruption Eradication Efforts
JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the experience of Novel Baswedan and his friends could help resolve the culture of corruption in Indonesia. This is one of the reasons why Novel is placed on the side of prevention.
"Surely this track record can be used as a basis when carrying out activities to resolve potential leaks at the root of the problem due to a culture of corruption," Sigit told reporters, Friday, December 10.
In addition, Novel's experience can strengthen the handling of corruption cases. Thus, the culture of corruption will gradually erode and disappear.
"We change with their experience, we can strengthen efforts to combat corruption, especially in the prevention sector," said Sigit.
"Because enforcement is an ultimum remedium, the most important thing is how to prevent changing culture so that the public understands that state administrators understand and then we will build this together," continued Sigit
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo appointed Novel Baswedan and 43 former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). They officially became the Bhayangkara Corps State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
With Novel and his friends officially becoming National Police ASN, it is hoped that they can strengthen the Bhayangkara Corps. Especially in the sector of preventing corruption.
