The National Team Wins Over Cambodia, Ricky Kambuaya: Grateful But Something Needs To Be Improved
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team successfully secured victory against Cambodia in the inaugural match of Group B of the AFF Cup 2020. National team midfielder Ricky Kambuaya is grateful for this result but does not deny that he and his colleagues still have to improve.
The Indonesian national team will face Cambodia at the Bishan Stadium, Singapore on Thursday night. The Garuda squad successfully closed the match with a 4-2 victory.
Of the four goals created, two of them were made by Rachmat Irianto, the rest were contributed by Evan Dimas and Ramai Rumakiek.
Although finally managed to secure the victory, the team's performance seems to be still not optimal. This was revealed by attacking midfielder Ricky Kambuaya.
Ricky admitted his squad had many shortcomings against Cambodia. He said he would fight with the team to fix it.
"We have some homework to fix (after the Cambodia match)," said Ricky Kambuaya as quoted by Antara.
Apart from that, Ricky, who contributed one assist in last night's match, still feels grateful for the results achieved by the national team. He did not forget to express his gratitude for the support that has always been given by the Indonesian people.

On the other hand, what Ricky said about the improvements the team had to make was also conveyed by Shin Tae-yong.
The national team coach admitted that in the match against Cambodia his team had indeed succeeded in securing victory. But regarding performance, Shin Tae-yong said they were not optimal.
"Indeed we could have scored four goals but our game was not up to 50 percent of what I wanted. I will talk to the players so they understand my instructions," said the South Korean coach.
