Contractor Repairs Collapsed Infiltration Well Cover In Lebak Bulus

JAKARTA - Officers from PT Arvirotect Konstruksi Indonesia as the contractor repair the cover of an infiltration well (vertical drainage) that collapsed in the Bona Indah area, Lebak Bulus, Cilandak, South Jakarta.

Project Manager of PT Arvirotect Konstruksi Indonesia M Dedi Charles said officers in the field immediately repaired the infiltration well after reports of the collapse on Wednesday.

"Yes, that's right. So when there was news yesterday (the infiltration well burst) we immediately followed up from night until morning," said Dedi, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 9.

Dedi said that the infiltration wells at the third and seventh points were suspected to have collapsed because the construction of the castings had not been completely dry.

"Because it's only been four days. The asphalt was just finished on Tuesday. Then for the concrete on Sunday afternoon. Because the concrete has an age, at least two weeks," said Dedi.

It is known that one of the tires on the car of Indonesian Solidarity Party politician Isyana Bagoes Oka fell because the infiltration well on the road collapsed when the vehicle was passing.

The incident went viral on social media via an upload from the Twitter account @arnold5508 on Wednesday.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, suspects that the temporary closure of the infiltration well that is not yet strong is the cause of Isyana Bagoes Oka's vehicle sinking.

Riza admitted that he had informed the Water Resources Office to immediately evaluate the vendor or contractor working on the infiltration well project.

He emphasized that contractors who are negligent in carrying out their work and do not comply with the procedures will be subject to sanctions.

"The contractor on duty must ensure that his work is in accordance with the specifications, the procedures, the regulatory mechanism, must be appropriate, and must be held accountable, anyone who violates will be sanctioned," said Riza.
