SITUBONDO - Sujono (45) had no idea that his 2 cows were stolen by a thief. In fact, this resident of Situbondo, East Java, raises limousine and simmental cows for savings.
Banyuputih Police Chief AKP Heru Purwanto said the cow theft occurred on Monday, December 6. But the victim refused to report to the police.
"To this day, the victim is reluctant to make a report. Instead, we received this information yesterday from the Banyuputih village apparatus," said AKP Heru, Thursday, December 9.
However, when the police heard about the cow theft, the team immediately went to the scene. An investigation was carried out.
"The victim admitted that her two cows, a Limousine and a Simental, had disappeared. The estimated loss was Rp. 30 million," he said.
The police chief appealed to residents to report incidents related to criminal acts to the police. The goal is for the police to investigate incidents that are troubling to residents.
"Reporting, managing administrative letters and complaints at the police station is free of charge. Reflecting on this incident, I hope that the community increases vigilance in their respective environments. Night patrols are reactivated, of course, to minimize actions that can harm the community itself," he said.
