COVID-19 Update As Of December 8: 264 New Cases From Examination Of 378,197 Specimens
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 378,197 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 264 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,258,340 people and 5,363 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, December 8.
Today's recovered cases increased by 351 cases, bringing the total to 4,109,068 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 16 people and a total of 143,909 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 62 cases and a total of 708,189 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 41 new cases with a total of 864,264 cases. Central Java with 36 new cases and a total of 486,567 cases. Then, East Java with 27 new cases and a total of 399,636 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 80 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 52 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 44 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 34 recovered cases.
There are 8 provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Bengkulu, Riau Islands, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku and North Maluku.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.14 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5,861 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 143,794,042 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 100,459,272 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,250,506 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
