President To Review Areas Affected By Semeru Eruption In Lumajang

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inspect a number of locations affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru, Lumajang Regency, East Java, reported by Antara, Tuesday, December 7.

Using the Presidential Aircraft Indonesia-1, the President and his entourage took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Tuesday morning.

Arriving at Juanda International Airport, Sidoarjo Regency, the President will continue his journey to Lumajang Regency using the Indonesian Air Force Super Puma helicopter.

In Lumajang, the President is scheduled to visit a number of locations affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. After the review, the President will return to Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon.

As is known, Mount Semeru erupted on Saturday, December 4, 2021. President Joko Widodo has ordered his staff to move quickly to take emergency response measures in the event of a natural disaster.

Also accompanying the President on the flight to East Java Province were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary Marsda TNI M. Tonny Harjono, Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, and Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin.
