JCI Opens In Green Zone, Analyst Recommends Collection Of BUMN Shares

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened in the green zone on Thursday, August 13 trading. JCI opened higher by 0.24 oersen or 12.41 points to the level of 5,245.86.

Opening the trade, 53 stocks rose, 9 stocks fell, and 12 stocks remained unchanged. The trading volume was recorded at 25.21 million shares and was transacted for IDR 13.45 billion.

Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia analyst Lanjar Nafi projects that today's index will move in the green zone with support and resistance at 5,180 to 5,290 levels.

"Technically, JCI continues to strengthen and its positive trend is approaching the resistance area," said Lanjar.

He also recommended a number of shares at today's trading session, namely PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI), PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), and PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI).

Then, the shares of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), PT Pakuwan Jati Tbk (PWON), Astra International Tbk (ASII), PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk (PTPP), and PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR).

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst M. Nafan Aji Gusta Utama also estimates that the JCI today will move up to the level of 5,172 to 5,293. This is driven by optimism from market players regarding the development of vaccine trials.

"Market participants appreciate the rapid development of the corona vaccine," Nafan said.

Apart from that, big players appreciated the government's commitment in providing stimulus. This can help the economy recover during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nafan also recommended a number of shares for today's trading, such as PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI), PT Erjaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), PT Estika Tata Tiara Tbk (BEEF), PT PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT), PT Lippo Cikarang. Tbk (LPCK), and PT London Sumatra Tbk (LSIP).
