Sri Mulyani Urges Subordinates To Alert The State Budget To Help Victims Of The Eruption Of Mount Semeru

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani emphasized that the government is present in efforts to restore physical and psychological conditions from the eruption of Mount Semeru in East Java. According to the Minister of Finance, the government's presence is evidenced by the commitment to disburse the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) after the disaster that occurred last weekend.

"I ask the Ministry of Finance to be alert in the mechanism for supporting the APBN and TKDD (Transfer to Regions and Village Funds) budgets," she said via her personal Instagram page @smindrawati quoted Monday, December 6.

The direction of the state treasurer at the same time reminds all parties of changes in weather and uncertain environmental conditions ahead of the close of the year.

"Natural disasters have the potential to increase towards the end of the year and the beginning of the year," she said.

Therefore, the Minister of Finance encouraged the Indonesian people to increase their collective vigilance and pray to the Almighty to always be in His protection.

“The eruption of Mount Semeru 4/12/2021. Let's pray for the safety of all the people around Mount Semeru," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

As is known, Mount Semeru erupted on Saturday afternoon, December 4 by spewing rock and sand material and releasing volcanic ash into the sky.

From the latest data compiled by the witnesses, it was recorded that 14 people died as a result of the rampage of the highest mountain in Java.
