Nemangkawi Task Force Arrests Fugitive Ammunition Seller In Nabire Papua, Shot For Trying To Escape

JAYAPURA - Joint personnel of the Nemangkawi Task Force and the Nabire Police, Papua have arrested two fugitives containing AU alias A alias BM and DW. Both are ammunition sellers in Nabire.

The arrests were made on Friday, December 3 on Poros Wadio-Wanggar Street, Nabire Regency. Head of the Papua Nemangkawi Ops Public Relations Task Force, Grand Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, arrested the two fugitives who were arrested in pursuit on Poros Wadio-Wanggar Street.

“The perpetrator fled with a high-speed motorbike. Arriving in front of Poros Wadio-Wanggar Street, precisely at the TOR entrance, the perpetrator stopped and got off the motorbike trying to escape. After that, chases and warning shots were carried out, but the perpetrators were still trying to escape and put up a fight, so decisive and measurable action was taken on the legs," said Kamal in a written statement, Saturday, December 4.

The two perpetrators were then taken to the hospital for medical treatment. After that, on this day both were taken to Bhayangkara Jayapura Hospital.

Meanwhile, earlier on October 27, joint personnel arrested 2 police officers suspected of selling ammunition to KKB.

The two perpetrators were detained in Girimulyo, Nabire Regency, with the initials AS and JP. After the inspection, it is known that the DPO is. AU alias A alias BM and DW were involved in the case.

From the results of the initial examination, it was known that AU alias A alias BM played a role in buying 80 rounds of ammunition from the US suspect at a price of Rp12,800,000 in Wonorejo, Nabire Regency on October 27, 2021.
