Transjakarta's Comprehensive Audit After Accidents Are In The Spotlight
JAKARTA - President Director of TransJakarta Mochammad Yana Aditya apologized for the recent series of accidents involving his fleet. TransJakarta buses had accidents at least five times in the last 40 days.
"Ladies and gentlemen, as well as all colleagues, I, on behalf of the directors of PT TransJakarta, apologize for the accidents on Thursday and Friday," he said at a press conference at the Transjakarta Head Office, Cawang, East Jakarta, Saturday, December 4.
A targeted accident occurred on October 25, 2021, in Cawang, East Jakarta, which killed two people, namely the driver and passenger of the Transjakarta bus. Meanwhile, 31 passengers were injured.
Apart from Cawang, there was also a single accident in Senen, Central Jakarta. Then, another accident occurred on October 29, 2021, in Gandaria City, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
Then, on Thursday, December 2, in front of the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC). Then, the next day, there was a single TransJakarta bus accident in front of Ratu Plaza, Sudirman Street, Jakarta.
Yana explained that his party is working hard to make repairs. Currently, Yana said, TransJakarta is conducting an audit in collaboration with the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) related to the accident incident in the last two days. The audit was carried out thoroughly. Both the fleet, driver (driver), and bus routes.
"We will conduct a thorough audit related to the security of operations in TransJakarta," he said.
