TNI Soldier Shot By KKB Planned To Be Buried In Sinabang Aceh

BANDA ACEH - The commander of the 0115 Simeulue Kodim (Dandim), Iskandar Muda Kodam, Lt. Col. Inf Yogi Bahtiar, said that TNI soldier Serda Putra Rahaldi who was shot dead by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua is planned to be buried in Happy Park, Sinabang, Simeulue Regency, Aceh.

"The plan is that Serda Putra Rahaldi's body will be buried in Happy Park, Sinabang, the capital of Simeulue Regency," said Inf Lieutenant Colonel Yogi Bahtiar in Simeulue, quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 4.

Lt. Col. Inf. Yogi Bahtiar said Kodim 0115 Simeulue and his staff were still waiting for further information regarding the repatriation of Serda Putra Rahaldi's body.

Kodim 0115 Simeulue and its ranks, said Inf. Lieutenant Colonel Yogi Bahtiar, have also prepared to receive the repatriation of Serda Putra Rahaldi's body at the funeral home in Suka Maju Village, East Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency.

Redi Anwar, brother of the late Serda Putra Rahaldi, said his younger brother was the fourth of five children. Their father was named Darlimsyah who worked as a fisherman every day.

"While our mother, Warni, is only a housewife. My sister is not married. We are from a fishing family," said Redi Anwar.

Simeulue Regent Erli Hasim expressed his condolences for the death of Serda Putra Rahaldi, a TNI member from Simeulue while on duty in Papua Province.

"The local government and the people of Simeulue share our condolences for the death of our best son who is carrying out state duties. May Allah SWT reward him as a martyr and be accepted by Him," said Erli Hasim.

Serda Putra Rahaldi was shot dead by KKB in Papua, on Friday (3/12). At that time, he and his fellow TNI soldiers were about to collect water from a reservoir a few meters from the Suru Suru Koramil Post, Timika, Papua.
