This helps brands connect with content creators for sponsored content and recommended videos. Now, TikTok creators with just 10,000 followers can sign up for the TikTok Creator Marketplace to collaborate with brands on various opportunities.
The company tested the Tips and Video Gift feature live last month, but at the time the feature wasn't widely available. During testing, content creators must have at least 100,000 followers and must be in good standing with TikTok. Once approved, they will be given a Tips button on their profile to receive direct payments.
Currently, TikTok's monetization features are more widely available to content creators in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. While other countries will follow in the next few months.
Requirements for Registering the Next Creator
Citing TechCrunch, Thursday, December 2, the Creator Next website explains that eligible creators must be 18 years or older, and must follow minimum follower requirements which may vary depending on their region.
Creator content must also have had at least 1,000 video views over the last 30 days and have at least three posts in the last 30 days. Their account must be at least 30 days old and in good standing with the TikTok Community Guidelines without repeated rule violations.
TikTok says content creators will receive a 100 percent tip. However, users who tip creator content must pay a small admin fee to TikTok's payment provider Stripe. Even though the app doesn't take a share of the revenue.
