Police Affirm, Tomorrow No One 212 Participant Can Enter Monas Area

JAKARTA - Four areas in Central Jakarta around the Horse Statue, Kebon Sirih, Monas and the Palace will become a limited and sterile area from vehicles and people starting Wednesday, December 1, evening. Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya said, this area should not be passed by any vehicle, including people who are on the move.

"All of these areas are restricted areas and cannot be entered by any vehicle," said the Director of Lantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to VOI in the Monas area, Jakarta, Wednesday December 1.

The area to be closed is the area around the Horse Statue and the Monas area. The plan to close the route was marked with red marks by the police around Monas and the Palace.

"All areas marked in red are declared as restricted areas," he said.

Kombes Sambodo ensures that all vehicles starting tonight are not allowed to enter this area. Especially from the Kebon Sirih - Thamrin intersection, we have closed this road. Then from Budi Kemulyaan, Museum Street, Abdul Muis Street, Harmoni, Veteran 3 Street, Gambir which goes to the Palace, as well as from the United States Embassy.

"Including areas that go to this area, we will carry out filtering. Filtering means specifically that people can pass but for the masses who will attend the 212 reunion they are not allowed to pass through," he said.

Filtering is applied in Semanggi, Tugu Tani and along Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin starting from 24.00 WIB until Thursday December 2, tomorrow night around 21.00 WIB.
