JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of corruption in land acquisition for the construction of SMKN 7 South Tangerang.
Recently, investigators are investigating the purchase of assets by related parties whose money is suspected to have come from the land acquisition process. This investigation was carried out by summoning a witness, Anastasia W. Lesmana Thio who is a private party on Tuesday, November 30 yesterday.
"Located at the Immigration Office Class I Non TPI Serang, the team of investigators has scheduled the examination of witness Anastasia W. Lesmana Thio," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Wednesday, November 1.
During the examination, investigators explored a number of things against Anastasia. One of them, said Ali, relates to the ownership of assets by related parties in the alleged corruption case.
"The person concerned was present and confirmed, among others, related to the ownership of several assets from parties related to this case which allegedly came from the flow of a number of funds in land acquisition for the construction of SMKN 7 South Tangerang at the Banten Province Education and Culture Office for Fiscal Year 2017," he said.
Previously reported, the KPK announced that it was investigating allegations of corruption at the Banten Province Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud). This riot is related to land acquisition to build SMKN 7 South Tangerang in 2017.
Not only that, the KPK has also conducted searches at the homes and offices of related parties in the Jakarta, South Tangerang, Serang, and Bogor areas. The search found evidence including documents, electronic goods and 2 cars.
Even though it has explained that there was a search, the KPK is still closed about the construction of this alleged corruption case and who has been named as a suspect. Later, information delivery and announcements of those involved will be made when arrests or detentions are made.
