Ridwan Kamil Reminds ASN To Obey The Prohibition Of Christmas-New Year Holidays: You Are An Example, Don't Secretly Break The Rules

BANDUNG - The Governor of West Java (Jabar) Ridwan Kamil reminded all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the West Java Provincial Government to comply with the central government's decision regarding the abolition of Christmas and New Year's holidays on December 22, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

West Java ASN, said Ridwan Kamil, must be role models who obey the rules, including the implementation of health protocols, considering the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet.

"It has been decided not to take holidays from December 22 to January 2. Just obey. You are an example, don't hide, get carried away by the desire to break the rules," he said when he was the supervisor of the 50th Anniversary of the Indonesian Civil Servant Corps (KORPRI) at the Sate building, Bandung City, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 29.

Ridwan Kamil asked West Java ASN to be role models for the surrounding environment regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Be an example in the family environment, living environment, work environment, and the environment in general in implementing health protocols," he said.

In addition, Ridwan Kamil encouraged the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the West Java Provincial Government to continue to innovate.

"People can innovate if they find a problem that must be solved. Therefore, we must be diligent in shopping for problems," he said.

According to him, to produce innovation, ASN must be diligent in 'shopping for problems' by going to the field.

"People who are not able to innovate because they do not find a problem statement that must be resolved," he said.

Kang Emil explained, to find problems, ASN must often go to the field, mingle, and synergize with the community. That way, ASN is expected to be able to see firsthand what the problems are.

"Don't expect you to be able to innovate if you don't come into contact with the people, don't mingle and synergize with the people, don't go to the field to see what kind of problems require action," he said.

"Therefore, today's KORPRI must be physically diligent in mingling and taking to the field, intellectually being able to synthesize ideas or how to solve problems in the field," he said.

He hoped that the spirit of defending the country of KORPRI during the pandemic could be shown through obedience.
