Malut Police Nets 102 Unvaccinated People

JAKARTA - The North Maluku Regional Police (Polda Malut) noted that at least 102 people had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 on the first day of the vaccine raid.

The Head of Public Relations of the Malut Police, Kombes Adip Rojikan, in Ternate, Saturday, November 27, explained that on the first day of this raid, together with the TNI, health services, transportation services, and Satpol PP, 102 people arrived and departed using sea transportation.

Of those who have not yet received the vaccine, he said, the first dose was 84 doses and the second dose was 18 doses.

Kombes Adip Rojikan said that at Semut Mangga Dua Port there were 35 people, consisting of 29 people who underwent the first dose of vaccination and six people who underwent the second dose.

Meanwhile, the implementation of vaccines at Dufa-Dufa Port was recorded at 10 people, all of whom underwent the first dose of vaccination; the port speed of the new city as many as 57 people (the first dose was 45 people and the second dose was 12 people).

He said that the vaccination schedule at the ferry port for the next day was due to the limited number of KKP health personnel.

"This raid activity is until December 6, 2021. So, for people who want to arrive and depart using sea transportation services, they must first be vaccinated," he said.

In this activity, officers will check the vaccine certificates of the passengers, people who have been vaccinated can show their vaccine cards or can use the PeduliLindung application to the officers.

Passengers who have not been vaccinated will be directly directed to the vaccine officer and those who have a history of disease can be proven by a doctor's certificate that the person concerned cannot be vaccinated.

He also emphasized that the implementation of this vaccination was to follow up with the Ministry of Home Affairs Number 61 of 2021 concerning PPKM Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 as well as optimizing the COVID-19 handling post at the village/kelurahan level to control the spread of COVID-19.

"Hopefully, with more intensive socialization, people in North Maluku will be more aware that the vaccine is important for themselves," he said.

However, he reminded that the public still applies health protocols to avoid the COVID-19 virus even though they have been vaccinated.
