Head Of Pangaraian Riau Sand Prison Denies Extortion Practices In Prisoners' Conditional Release
RIAU - The head of the Class II B Penitentiary, Pasir Pangaraian, Rokan Hulu Riau, Eri Erawan, has denied allegations of illegal levies (extortion) in the parole (PB) process for prisoners and criminal children outside the detention center or prison.
"There is no extortion at the Pasir Pangraian Prison, because now everything is transparent," he told reporters at Pasir Pangaraian, Antara, Friday, November 26.
According to him, all coaching processes for prisoners and programs and budgets are published on websites and social media as well as online media.
So far the integration programs (PB, CB, Simulation and pure free) have been running well. As of January 2021-26 November 2021, Pasir Pengaraian Prison is already using the correctional database system (SDP).
"We have also removed as many as 458 inmates and the total contents of the inmates are currently 688 people per day," he said.

In addition to complaints services for the community, he said, Pasir Pengaraian Prison has also provided five complaints and suggestions boxes placed in the residential blocks of the inmates that aim to serve as a means of aspirations and complaints of the inmates.
