Section II Semarang-Demak Toll Road Built Crossing Swamp, PT PP Boss Gives Guarantee To Ganjar: Can Be Used For A Long Time
JAKARTA - The construction of the Semarang-Demak toll road section II continues to be accelerated. It is targeted that the 16.31 km toll road construction project from Sayung to Demak will be completed to coincide with the Youth Pledge celebration, 28 October 2022.
This was conveyed by the President Commissioner of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP), Andi Gani Nena Wea to the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, Friday (26/11). Ganjar deliberately came to the project site in Loireng Village, Sayung District, Demak to check the progress of the project development.
The Semarang-Demak toll road project itself is known to have two work sections. The first section is the Kaligawe to Sayung section with a length of 10.39 km. This first section project has just begun. While section II of the Sayung-Demak section which Ganjar checked today, the project has been carried out earlier and the progress achieved so far is 58 percent. Overall, the Semarang-Demak Toll Road is targeted for completion in 2024.
"We are targeting section two to be completed on October 28, 2022, sir, to coincide with Youth Pledge Day. This will accelerate two months from the initial target which was planned to be completed in December 2022," said Andi.
To Ganjar, Andi said that in this second package the total project value was IDR 5.7 trillion. The level of workmanship is quite difficult, because the path crosses the swamp.
"We use the latest techniques so that the quality of the toll road is guaranteed and safe to use in the future. So it is not only 10-20 years, but can be used for a long time," he explained.
Ganjar himself appreciated the speed of the project. According to him, the Semarang-Demak toll road is an effort to solve the long-standing problems around Demak and Semarang.
"This is our long-standing joint effort to overcome congestion in Kaligawe. With the Semarang-Demak toll road, congestion in Kaligawe and its surroundings will be resolved. Transportation has a smoother route option through this toll road," he said.
In addition, the Semarang-Demak toll road can also be a way to overcome the problem of tidal waves in the coastal area. With the toll road, the problem of rob that often hit several areas around Sayung can be handled.
"Although not all of them, but this effort can help solve the problem," he explained.
Ganjar would like to thank all those who have supported the success of the project. He expressed his gratitude in particular to the people of Demak and Semarang.
"I thank the people who have sacrificed so much of their wealth, given it to the state so that it can then be used for other people," he concluded.
