JAKARTA - Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas during his working visit to Saudi Arabia visited the Dar Al-Madinah Museum in the Prophet's Mosque complex. Minister of Religion Yaqut said he was amazed by the sophistication and wealth of information presented in the museum, especially about the history of the Prophet Muhammad.
"The Dal Al-Madinah Museum is extraordinary. I am very amazed. Here it is presented in full detail about the history of the prophet. This will be very useful for building knowledge and civilization," said Gus Men , as he is familiarly called, in Medina, as quoted by the editorial from the Ministry of Religion's official website, Friday, November 26.
The Dar Al-Medina Museum was built on the initiative of Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa. This is the first and largest museum specializing in the history of the cities of Mecca and Medina. This museum displays a large and complete collection of the history of the Prophet Muhammad and the civilizations of the cities of Mecca and Medina which are packaged well digitally.
The presence of Gus Men Yaqut with the delegation was welcomed by the museum management. The Minister of Religion received an explanation of the ins and outs of the museum, as well as saw digital visualizations and the Sirah Nabawiyah film in four dimensions.
Head of the Museum, Dr. Abdulaziz Kaaki, said that this museum was built after going through in-depth research and preparation for construction for 15 years. He noted that there are 25 countries that are interested in building the Dar Al-Medina Museum, and that will start with Indonesia.
"This museum has also been visited by 10 heads of state and they appreciate it. All contents that exist and are packaged digitally about the history of the prophet are taken from trusted references through the Qur'an and Hadith with very strong narrations," he said.
A number of futuristic digital simulations on a number of walls display information about the life of the Prophet, ranging from morals, clothes, habits, daughters, to the routine of the prophet, and others.
The periodization of the age of the Prophet Muhammad is also explained. Each age period is given detailed background information. There is also information about the prophet's physique, ranging from hands, hair, and so on.
