Minister Of Health Hopes Pfizer Scholarship To Promote Health Biotechnology Research
JAKARTA - Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin hopes that through the Pfizer Biotech scholarship program new innovations in the field of health biotechnology will be created that are beneficial in the development of health biotechnology in Indonesia.
"Through this fellowship program, students can provide ideas and ideas to create innovations in the field of health biotechnology. In the future, these innovations are expected to provide input in the preparation of a roadmap for the development of health biotechnology in Indonesia," said Minister of Health Budi at the "Pfizer Biotech Fellowship Awards Ceremony" quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 23.
The Minister of Health said, based on the 2019 Global Biotechnology Innovation Scorecard, Indonesia only ranks 52 out of 54 countries.
"One of the reasons is the low human resources in this (health biotechnology) field," he said.
Minister of Health Budi said the Pfizer Biotech scholarship program should be appreciated as a strategy in building an education and research ecosystem that supports improving the quality of human resources in the field of health biotechnology.

He also hopes that this scholarship awarding event can inspire, motivate and be a trigger for health technology experts to further innovate in developing health biotechnology in Indonesia.
