Akhyar Nasution Expelled from the Management of PDIP North Sumatra
MEDAN - The management structure of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) North Sumatra Regional Leadership Council has changed after the appointment of Djarot Saiful Hidayat as Chairperson of the DPD. The name Akhyar Nasution is now not on the board.
Akhyar Nasution previously served as deputy head of the organization when the North Sumatra PDIP DPD was led by Japorman Saragih. But, Japorman resigned.
"In this new committee, there is no Akhyar's name," said Deputy Chairman of the DPD PDIP North Sumatra, Aswan Jaya, to reporters on Friday, August 7.
Even though he is no longer a committee member, Aswan is confirmed that Akhyar is still at the PDIP. However, Aswan didn't know the reason why Akhyar wasn't included in the management.
"Akhyar is still in the PDI Perjuangan uniform. But for the management, he is no longer involved. Perhaps because he is busy running for the Pilkada. It seems that he is adamant that he is no longer in line with the party," Aswan continued.
Ahead of the Medan Pilkada, Akhyar, who is also the Acting Mayor of Medan, is communicating with Democrats and PKS. According to Aswan, this condition made it impossible to include Akhyar in management.
"If he is still in charge, but he is not in line with us in the Medan Pilkada, we can interfere. Eventually, he will be released. Then, he can concentrate on his political choices in this Pilkada," he said.
