When Ketinting In Kukar Sank, The Family Became Victims, 2 People Disappeared
TENGGARONG - A joint team with residents intensified the search for victims of the sinking ketinting ship in Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar), East Kalimantan.
Head of the Search and Rescue Office of the East Kalimantan Basarnas, Melkianus Kotta, explained that from the information received, the victim started by boarding a boat to go to a family wedding, in Danau Murung Village, Melayu Village, Tenggarong District.
"However, while in front of the PT MSJ jetty, the taxi boat passed at high speed, which caused waves and made the victim's ship lose control and sink," said Melki in a written statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.
The East Kalimantan Basarnas, who received information, immediately went to the scene of the incident at 06.55 central Indonesia time and arrived at 07.58 central Indonesia time, on Sunday morning.
Until now the search by the Joint SAR Team is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) reported that a ketinting boat sank in the waters of Separi Village, Tenggarong Seberang District, on Saturday, November 20 night.
The ship was carrying four people, who were one family, consisting of father, mother, and two children. Two of them were found safe, while two people are still in the process of being searched.
Idah (43) who is the mother of the family and Anisa (7) her child were declared safe. Meanwhile, the father of the family, namely Ihsan (55) and his other son, Soleman (3), are still being sought.
The families of the victims of the sinking ship are residents of Liang Buaya Village, Muara Kaman District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The joint team is still searching for drowning victims.
Two people were found to have been taken to AM Parikesit Hospital for treatment. Then, the search for the two people continued this morning because at night it was dark and accompanied by a fairly strong current.
