22 Houses In Central Lombok Damaged By Tornado
PRAYA - Heavy rains accompanied by winds have damaged dozens of houses in Bangkat Parak Village and Kidang Village, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
"The number of houses damaged by the tornado was 15 houses in Bangkat Parak Village and 7 houses in Kidang Village, East Praya District," said Head of the Central Lombok Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), H Ridwan Maaruf in Praya, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.
The incident that happened to the residents occurred when the rain hit Central Lombok on Saturday, November 20 night. Suddenly strong winds damaged the roofs of residents' houses. However, there were no casualties in the incident.
"There were no casualties, only damage to people's homes," he said.
After receiving information about the incident, his party immediately went down to provide assistance to residents in the form of blankets, food, tarpaulins, and other necessities.
"That night we immediately went down to provide assistance to the residents," said Ridwan.

In addition, his party will also provide material assistance to the houses of affected residents for repairs, so that residents can occupy their homes again.
"Material assistance will also be given after completing the data collection of damage to residents' houses, whether it is lightly or heavily damaged," continued Ridwan.
He added that after the incident, the Regent of Central Lombok, Lalu Pathul Bahri, immediately went down to see the condition of the residents and had directed them to help the affected residents.
"We also urge the public to stay alert when it rains and strong winds so that things don't happen," said Ridwan.
