Ministry Of Health: 5 People Died From COVID-19, The Lowest During A Pandemic

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health stated that the number of patients who died from COVID-19 in the country on Friday, November 19, was five people. This figure is the lowest during the pandemic that hit Indonesia.

In a written statement from the Ministry of Health, DKI Jakarta and West Java are in the top positions with two patients each having died, and East Java one patient.

The addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 today reached 360 cases with the province contributing the highest addition of cases, namely DKI Jakarta with 97 cases.

West Java ranks second with the addition of 68 cases. Followed by West Kalimantan and Central Java with 38 cases and 34 cases respectively. East Java is in fifth position with the addition of 28 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health, today there are 27 provinces with an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases below 10 cases and five provinces that did not experience an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases, namely West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Riau Islands, and Gorontalo.

The number of patients who managed to recover from COVID-19 transmission in the country today reached 516 patients, with the highest number of recovered patients being contributed by the province of West Java, which was 205 patients.

The second position is occupied by DKI Jakarta with 104 recovered patients. Central Java and East Java are in third and fourth positions with 33 patients each contributing. Furthermore DI Yogyakarta in fifth position with 24 patients recovered.

Nationally, the number of active cases fell by 161 cases to 8,154 active cases.

The number of specimens examined today was 272,704 specimens with a positivity rate of 0.24 percent.
