ASN In Menteng Receive Social Assistance, Deputy Mayor Of Central Jakarta Angry: Minister Risma Don't Just Say It
JAKARTA - The chaotic problem of social assistance that is not right on target has angered the Central Jakarta City Government. Central Jakarta Deputy Mayor Irwandi stated that no active State Civil Apparatus (ASN) living in the Menteng area was the recipient of social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"I checked that there were no ASNs who received them, maybe retirees. If they are retired school guards, they are also ASNs. The Minister also needs to check who the ASN is, active or not," said Irwandi when confirmed by reporters, Friday, November 19.
Previously, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini revealed that there were 28,965 active ASN suspected of receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH) social assistance and Non-Cash Food Assistance.
The Minister of Social Affairs also mentioned that one ASN who lives in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, also received the social assistance.
"No, if it is proven that we have crossed out the data. That is data from the Ministry of Social Affairs, not from us, except from DKI, we have it, we are looking for it," said Irwandi.
He further said that the data on social assistance recipients came from the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) compiled by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The Ministry of Social Affairs needs to coordinate with the provincial, city and kelurahan levels to verify the recipients of the aid so that the target is not misdirected.
"The data from the Ministry of Social Affairs is 'top down', not from DKI, let alone from us. That's why the Ministry of Social Affairs needs to sit down with the local government, with the mayor, with the region, village head, sub-district head, RT so as not to get the wrong target," he said.
Irwandi assessed that the distribution of social assistance that was not right on target was the full responsibility of the Ministry of Social Affairs. He does not accept that the local government and city government are blamed for this problem.
"It's his fault, he's the one looking for (the recipient of the social assistance). We're not the ones looking for it. Don't blame my subordinates," said Irwandi.
However, Irwandi will still check with the Central Jakarta City Government Social Service Sub-dept. to check the truth of Risma's statement.
"Don't just mention it. There's no political element to it," he said.
Irwandi also suggested that in the future the Ministry of Social Affairs could first coordinate with regional officials so that the distribution of social assistance is more targeted.
