Budgeting Rp750 Billion, DKI Provincial Government Will Build RTH In 3 Regions

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will build green open spaces (RTH) in three areas in 2022 with a budget of IDR 750 billion. This budget is included in the 2022 Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget.

Head of the City Parks and Forest Service, Suzi Marsitawati, said that the green open spaces to be built are located in three areas, namely East Jakarta, West Jakarta, and North Jakarta.

"The plan is for all regions except the Center because the price is quite expensive and our proposal (budget) is not large, so we will conduct a survey first", said Suzi in her statement, Friday, November 19.

Suzi said, with a budget that is considered limited, the DKI Provincial Government will select community lands that will be acquired by the DKI Provincial Government.

The selection carried out refers to criteria such as tombs that must be in the A3 zoning, garden land must not be less than 250 meters, and forest land must be more than 2,500 meters. After that, a study will be made before the construction of green open space begins.

"Because what we are going to buy is community land, we will sort the priority first. Which one is really appropriate? Of course, there must be road access and the most important thing is clear administration", said Suzi.

For information, the land acquisition plan for the procurement of green open space has actually been proposed since 2017 and then implemented in 2019 and 2020.

The proposed budget at that time was even bigger than the one proposed in 2022, which was IDR 1.5 trillion. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the budget was refocused.

Thus, the procurement of green open space has only been budgeted again in the 2022 Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget with a nominal value of IDR 750 billion, or half of what was previously budgeted.
