Is Your Area Already On Level 1 And 2? Starting December 24, It Immediately Changes To Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions, Without Exception
JAKARTA - All regions in Indonesia will automatically implement the Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) policy. Without exception, all regions will start implementing the Level 3 policy from December 24, 2021, to January 2, 2022.
So even if your area has entered Level 1 and 2 because of the sloping COVID-19 case, there is no tolerance. This assurance has been conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy.
The government evenly applies the PPKM Level 3 policy to all regions of Indonesia in anticipation of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
"During Christmas and New Year, all of Indonesia will apply PPKM Level 3 rules and regulations," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, November 18.
Muhadjir said the policy was carried out to tighten the movement of people and prevent a spike in COVID-19 cases after the year-end holiday. Later, all regions in Indonesia, both those with PPKM Level 1 and 2 statuses, will apply the PPKM Level 3 rules.

Muhadjir said that the Level 3 PPKM status policy will take effect from December 24 to January 2, 2021. This policy will be implemented until the Ministry of Home Affairs issues the latest Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri).
"This Ministry of Home Affairs serves as a guideline for controlling the handling of COVID-19 during the Christmas and New Year holidays which will be determined no later than November 22, 2021," he said.
In addition, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture requested sectoral Ministries/Institutions, National Armed Forces (TNI)/National Police (Polri), the National COVID-19 Task Force through the National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), Regional Governments, and other strategic components to prepare circulars and operational support for the implementation of controlling the handling of COVID-19 during Christmas and New Year.
