JAKARTA - Member of Commission E of the DKI DPRD Ima Mahdiah asked the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to audit the financial reports of the construction of the West Jakarta State High School 96 building which collapsed while being renovated.
"I also just received information that a school collapsed. The BPK must enter for an audit. The police must also enter here," said Ima when contacted, Wednesday, November 17.
The former staff of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) said that Commission E would conduct cross-checks to clarify the contractors who carried out construction work at SMAN 96.
"The (renovation) of SMA 96 is included in the 2021 budget, with a total of Rp. 33 billion. That's why we want to check this, who is the contractor," said Ima.
Ima also asked the DKI Education Office to act in anticipation so that the collapse of the school located in Cengkareng Timur Village, Cengkareng District, would not be repeated in other school rehabilitation activities.
"Disdik must check again, don't let this incident happen again. We at Commission E also convey to them that, for example, heavy rehabilitation, just complete rehabilitation, but not patchy," said Ima.
