It Turns Out That The Cause Of The Burning Of Dozens Of Houses In Sindang Koja Is The Act Of Stressed Youth Because Their Parents Are Not Married
JAKARTA - Police officers arrested one person suspected of being the cause of the fire at Jalan Sindang RW08, Koja, North Jakarta, Tuesday, November 16, at around 17.00 WIB.
According to information obtained, the perpetrator with the initials YAC (26) is a resident of Jalan Fort Timur, Koja, North Jakarta. YAC asked his parents to get married and buy a motorbike, but YAC's parents did not comply.
Until his parents disobeyed his request, YAC finally burned the curtains in his house. Not long after that the fire spread and grabbed flammable items in the house.
At around 16.30 WIB, a local resident named Sarwita saw a puff of smoke and a fire accompanied by an explosion at Suwarno's house (YAC's father). Then Sarwita shouted "Fire" and soon the locals came out of their houses and tried to put out the fire with makeshift equipment.
Instead of extinguishing the fire, it got bigger and grabbed the houses around it due to the strong wind blowing.
According to a video received by VOI, Wednesday, November 17, residents stormed Suwarno's house to express their frustration with YAC. However, the local police managed to secure YAC for questioning.
It was previously reported that residents on Jalan Sindang RW08, Koja, North Jakarta rushed out of their houses to save themselves from the raging fire. People's panic has been seen since 17.00 WIB. By 17.30 WIB, the fire was getting bigger and destroyed dozens of semi-permanent houses.
